It is with some sadness that we post this notice. The Friends of the Library group is temporarily suspending its activities due to lack of volunteers. The officers of the group have served valiantly for several years and have tried without luck to find replacements.
We hope that in the fall, we can find people who would be willing to lead the group as it continues to provide funding for "extras" that our library budget does not allow -- including special programs for children and families for the Summer Reading Program as well as the Firefly Concert series. Without the support of the Friends of the Library, we will not be able to continue to offer the high quality programming that we have had in the past.
For now, there will not be any luncheon programs and the spring Book Sale will not be held.
If you would like to help reinvigorate the Friends of the Library group -- and would enjoy the knowledge that you are making a significant contribution to the community -- please contact us at the library. We'd LOVE to hear from you!
